Singled-out: Army by Not Blood Paint

Often, I’m out telling people about bands that straight up break the mold.  Bands that defy, description, bands that are so out there and yet completely accessible.  Not, Blood Paint is one of those bands.  They leaked one of there songs off their much anticipated album Normalidad.  Now I’ve seen this song played live a few times and I gotta tell you the crowd response is one of the greatest things you’ll ever see.  But someone they do an amazing job of not loosing that factor in this recording.  Army  is a tale about a runt from a dysfunctional family that has one solitary goal: to join the army.  The song is so damned catchy that by the middle you’ll be singing along that thinking you know what’s in store for the rest of the song.  WRONG! N,BP is like the sword master: infinitely clever and dexterous.  Enjoy Army and if you’re free tonight go to Their LP Release show.  If you’ve never seen them live I envy your naiveté .  If you have, I’d bet you they pull out all the stops tonight.
